Social Responsibility
Investing beyond the transaction
BASE's supply network connects us to communities across Türkiye and Russia. We look for ways to contribute to those communities beyond the material we purchase from them, treating that connection as a responsibility rather than a byproduct of doing business. Where a supplier operates, BASE has some obligation too, even though we're several steps removed from the extraction site itself.
Our Commitments
Community engagement
We support supplier-led community initiatives in the regions our materials originate from. These are identified by our partners on the ground, not designed remotely from a head office. We fund and support what local partners identify as genuine needs, rather than exporting a standard programme that looks the same in every region.
Fair supplier terms
Payment terms and pricing are structured to support the long-term stability of our partners. A supplier squeezed on price today is a supply risk tomorrow. Slow payment or aggressive renegotiation might save money in a single quarter, but it's the kind of pressure that erodes a supply relationship over years.
Responsible growth
We expand our sourcing network in ways that benefit source communities, not only export volumes. Growth that only benefits BASE isn't growth we pursue. We'll pass on a volume increase if the only way to deliver it puts pressure on a source community rather than benefiting it.
The communities we source from are part of the supply chain, not separate from it. That framing shapes decisions well before they ever reach a page like this one.
