Ensuring every shipment meets specification
Quality control is the core of what BASE actually sells — the material itself is produced by our partners, but the guarantee that it matches specification is ours. Before any material leaves origin, it is verified against agreed specifications, and every shipment travels with full documentation buyers can independently check against what arrives. That documentation standard doesn't vary by buyer size or order volume — a single-container trial order is checked exactly as thoroughly as a standing annual contract.
Our Commitments
Pre-shipment inspection
Independent or supplier-verified inspection against the agreed specification before loading, with results recorded and shared ahead of shipment, not on request. Buyers can request the inspection record for any shipment, not only ones where a problem is suspected.
Certified documentation
Certificates of analysis, origin and conformity accompany every consignment, in the format each destination market and customs authority requires. We keep a copy of every certificate on file, so a buyer questioning a shipment months later isn't left searching for paperwork.
Consistent sourcing
We work with a fixed roster of audited producers to keep material properties consistent shipment to shipment, rather than switching suppliers to chase short-term pricing. A cheaper offer from an unaudited producer doesn't get material into our network — cost alone has never been sufficient grounds to add a supplier.
Responsive resolution
Any specification dispute is investigated and resolved directly with the buyer, not left to the supplier alone — BASE remains the single point of contact until it's closed. We would rather absorb the cost of a genuine dispute than let it become a pattern a buyer has to plan around.
Quality is verified before export, not discovered after delivery — every certificate we issue is one our own team would sign off on. That's the standard we hold regardless of whether the buyer on the other end ever checks.
